SELF-PORTRAITURE

This was another favorite of mine. The assignment was self as subject and we were expected to use camera methods such as tripods or stands of some sort, having someone else take the photos for us with your direction of how you want the photos taken, and using a timer. We were allowed to kind of work together and use the photography room. Towards the end of the assignment, there ended up being a lot of goofing off. During this assignment there was a lot of playing around with different stuff like slower shutter speeds since we don't really get a chance to use them, flash, timers, and just a lot of different lighting ideas. There ended up being a lot of candid shots. It was kind of funny since my friend was just taking photos at one point, and then when she turned the flash on I was so surprised that I started laughing. There was a lot of goofing off here too, and I almost died trying to get up that tree and get out of that tree for photos that I'm very proud of. I have actually always enjoyed modeling and just having fun pictures taken of me and doing the same for my friends, and so this assignment was actually very easy for me. There were some challenges, such as taking photos of things that represent us but don't have us in them, or surrealism in a way that still represents you. Over all, I'm very proud of these pictures and of how these pictures came out.
