Hey guys!

I'm J. G. Nicole and thanks so much for bringing yourself to my blog! I spent a lot of time working on it and I'm super excited to share things that I've done with all of you. It's not much content right now, but I'm writing and researching things everyday so I can pump out new content for you guys.

I have never been someone with a huge filter, in fact I have a hard time remembering that I even need to have one. When I was living on campus at the college I attended, I participated in the school's internet radio show. It was a fun experience, but I realized that I'm not very good at speaking, or speaking slowly enough that I could be understood. Writing has always been easier for me than speaking, because I often have trouble articulating what I'm trying to get across, especially if I'm not prepared. To combat that, I wrote scripts for myself to follow while I was doing my show, and while it helped, it still caused me to be too nervous or excited to speak clearly, since I do talk very fast. And it just wasn't as fun as I thought it would be.

When I was 16, I published my first book while I was in high school. In all fairness, I was a junior at the time and was taking Creative Writing II. The assignment for the school year was to write a book. If you finished your book by the end of the year, our teacher would publish it for us, since he has his own non-profit publishing company. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun to write, and I'll admit it's not the best it could be. I'm incredibly proud of the accomplishment and equally as grateful for the opportunity. I plan to work on editing the original manuscript and expanding a bit on the story, which is going to be a series, before publishing a 2nd edition. The 2nd edition will be the first in the official series, and I'm very excited for that. It's a lot of work, especially because in this life we all have to adult, but I'm working everyday to get it done.

Now you know, writing is kind of my thing. You can expect me to post things that aren't just reviews about things I've seen, heard, or read. I'll also be posting the poems and short stories I write, as well as discussing things that the average person shy's away from talking about. I'll also be uploading photographs that I've taken, as well as photo edits. I got into Photoshop when I was writing my book, since I designed the cover. I often make imaginary book and movie covers, the icons and logos I use, or just random ideas that I had. I've been asked a couple of times if I would be willing to do graphic design for other people. The answer to that is yes, by request, and it is not free. I'm mentioning this mostly as a precaution, since I'm not a graphic design artist, nor have I taken graphic design classes I don't expect people to make that request. My college major is computer science, I am not as artsy as people give me credit for, but if people do ask, then I'd be happy to work on something for you. Again, I don't expect to get any requests, but I have had people ask me about the edits I have made.

That said, onto the actual updates.

I wrote a post about an actress that I love, which you can find under the reviews section. Feel free to like it, comment on it, just tell me what you think. I'm huge on feedback, I love constructive criticism, and on top of that you can give me suggestions for people or things that I should write about.

The Graphic design page is currently not containing anything because I have been on the fence about posting the things that I have since they contain other people and are personalized for the people they were made for; however, the Photography section is up and ready for your perusal, and currently has all the photos from my senior year of high school. These are photos that I took and use often as background images, and each gallery describes a different assignment I had been given and how it affected the photos. I love them and I know you'll love them too.

That's all for updates! Stay tuned, because I'm planning on writing a piece on Thanksgiving, as well as a piece on voting in the US and the importance of it. Hopefully those will be up before the election but I'm writing it either way. I also wanted to do a story on the true history of Halloween, but I overestimated myself and wasn't able to finish setting up the site and blog as well as research and write a thorough and accurate piece. Let me know if you would still like for me to write that though, because I absolutely will if people want to see it. I'll also be transcribing some of my old poems to post as well, so stay tuned for that!

I can't tell you exactly when this stuff will be up, but I can tell you that I'm incredibly excited about it. Stay tuned, feel free to email me or comment on posts with suggestions, subscribe to the blog so you can get updates whenever I post something new, and find me on social media!

Tell your friends about it, and thanks so much for checking in and remember to stay weird, stay cool, and stay happy because you can't blend in when you were born to stand out.

Till next time cherubs!
